Theona Park is approximately 12 miles north of Peterborough, situated on over 1400 feet of waterfront on beautiful Buckhorn Lake, in the heart of the Kawartha Lakes district which is renowned for its picturesque scenery, boating and fine fishing.

Whether it’s relaxing by the beach, fishing or taking part in some of our many activities, you’ll find something for everyone at Theona.

Good roads lead from Theona to shopping, dining, entertainment, golf courses, churches, and casinos. Points of interest nearby include Peterborough Liftlocks, Warsaw Caves, Petroglyphs, Curve Lake Art Gallery and Whetung’s Ojibwa Crafts, the Peterborough Zoo, Buckhorn Arts Festival, the Festival of lights in Peterborough and much more.

Each lot is over 2500 square feet and since our park is on terraced land, each site has a beautiful view of the lake. Each site also has its own fire pit and picnic table so you can relax in the comfort of your own space.

A large waterfront area gives ample access to our sand beaches which are safe and clean for children.

We have two playground areas which provide lots of fun for you children.

A 22 x 45 foot inground swimming pool. 3 foot deep at the shallow end up to 4 foot 6 at the deep end.
